Dear Friends, Members and Supporters

 

We are sorry to inform you that the first Clacton Pride will be postponed until next year. This has been an awful decision to make but we are following Government guidelines to keep us all safe. Many major events and prides are being cancelled all over the world.  We did not want to make the decision too early in case Government advice changed, however that does not seem to be the case. 

 

We plan to hold regular meetings and fundraisers as soon as lockdown ends meaning we can raise enough to come back bigger and better in 2021 and together we WILL make the first Clacton Pride the event of the year.  We have all started to build something positive for the LGBTQ+ Pride community in Clacton, let’s be proud of what we have done and continue to grow it together, we are all united in our aim to raise awareness and foster positive attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people and I am sure we will have an absolutely fantastic Clacton Pride in 2021!

 

As we said before:  This is just a blip, a temporary hiatus, keep in touch on our media channels..  Let’s all keep positive, take care of yourself and each other.

When all this is over:

… we will hug in the streets

… we will dance in the rain

… we will have coffee with friends

… we will eat delicious food in restaurants

… we will celebrate with our loved ones

And we will have a whole new outlook on life.  Be grateful for friends and family, treasure and cherish everyone around you, even if from afar. And until then, let’s bring out the kindness in each other.
